Spurs shock City
Tottenham Hotspurs made a statement of intent today by beating Manchester City and storming to the top of the Premier League table with a 2 nil win. Spurs just had 33 percent of the ball and four shots on target compared to City's 22 but still came out victorious in a classic smash-and-grab at Tottenham's London stadium
During a lively opening Spurs took the lead through Son's well taken goal from the edge of the box. It was Spurs first shot on target 59 minutes into the game, with Mourinho's side soaking up the pressure throughout the game.
Despite City pressure Mourinho's men scored another well taken goal, this time by substitute Giovani Lo Celso who was on the pitch for only 35 seconds.

PEP Signs New Deal
On Thursday Manchester City announced that Pep Guardiola signed a new two (2)year deal. This means Guardiola will remain at the Etihad for at least another three (3) years. This puts to rest rumor's that the Spaniard was looking for a move away from the Etihad.
Speaking on his contract extension, Guardiola said, " Ever since I arrived at Manchester City I have been made to feel so welcome in the club and in the city itself- from the players, the staff, the supports, the people of Manchester and the Chairman and Owner. Since then we have achieved a great deal together, scored goals, won games and trophies, and we are all very proud of that success.
"Having that kind of support is the best thing any manager can have. I have everything I could possibly want to do my job well and I am humbled by the confidence the Owner, Chairman, Ferran and Txiki have shown in me to continue for two (2) years after this season.
"The challenge for us is to continue improving and evolving, and I am very excited about helping Manchester City do that,"
